Bike shops face a unique organisational challenge. They deal in hundreds of components, often of different sizes, specifications, brands and applications. All of which need to be organised and kept accessible for store staff and mechanics to use as and when required.

How can you organise so many disparate products in a meaningful way without spending a fortune on shop fittings? By using plastic storage boxes.

Linbins and XL Picking Bins

Linbins are small plastic containers with a low front used frequently in workshops, garages, sheds and anywhere that wants to organise small components in a systematic way. Linbins come in a range of sizes and colours. They can be stacked, wall mounted or fixed in place. Larger Linbins can be further divided according to your needs. They are a very efficient storage medium that could be ideal for bike shops to store chains, chain links, cables, grommets, bolts and the many small components used in modern bikes.

Linbins can be clearly labelled and take up very little space. Each bin is constructed of high strength polypropylene co-polymer and is manufactured in the UK. XL picking bins are economical and alternative versions of Linbins and slightly differ in size. Like Linbins, picking bins will usually have a dropped front, be stackable, fastened to a wall or otherwise fixed in place. They can also be subdivided for combined storage.

Attached lid containers

Attached lid containers also offer genuine value to bike shops. Available in a range of colours and sizes, these containers offer rugged, practical storage in the shop, workshop or warehouse. Attached lid containers are ideal for larger items such as inner tubes, clothing, shoes, helmets, gloves, saddles and other loose products that can be efficiently stored together. Stock can be colour coded using the different colour options or clearly labelled.

Attached lid containers are manufactured from either eco friendly recycled or virgin grade plastic and come with a hinged lid for security and convenience. Containers can be stacked when full or nest conveniently when empty for efficient use of space. They also have handles at either end for safe transport. Containers are provided in standard sizes compatible with pallets, wheeled trucks and many storage systems for extra convenience.

EURO PICKING BINS

Euro picking bins are a versatile storage medium that could prove invaluable to bike shops. Essentially larger versions of Linbins and XL picking bins, Euro picking bins have all the similar advantages but for larger items. Euro picking bins could be ideal for storing pedals, tyres, inner tubes, cables, clothing, tools and common stock items or workshop spares. Each container has a low front for easy access and can be safely stacked for efficient use of space. Some containers come with a translucent door to prevent dust or dirt entering the container.

Euro picking bins are commonly used places where storage space is at a premium or where staff need easy access to common items. Each bin is manufactured from tough plastic and can be stacked together or form part of a larger storage system. The standard sizes are also compatible with wheeled dollies for easy movement.

Mobile Container Trucks

Mobile container trucks are built tough and built to last. Each container comes with attached castor wheels for ease of movement and is ideal for moving stock or workshop items quickly and safely. Ideal for bike shop storage.

Mobile container trucks could be perfect for storing larger or heavier items or in situations where a smaller container with wheels can be shared between workshop staff. They can also be useful as pick bins on the shop front for items that won’t be damaged when stored together. Some container trucks are manufactured using tough polyethylene plastic (MDPE) and some using recycled plastic. Either way, you get a robust container designed to survive in any environment.

Container trucks are available in a range of sizes and colours to suit every situation. Colour code stock items by type or make everything uniform, it is entirely up to you!
